Ajam Media Collective, an online space devoted to documenting and analyzing cultural, social, and political trends in the diverse Iranian, Central Asian, and Diaspora communities, initiated a new project called “Mehelle.” Mehelle aims to document rapidly changing neighborhoods in three post-Soviet cities: Baku, Tbilisi and Dushanbe. We spoke with Rustin Zarkar, editor of Ajam, on Mehelle and urban transformation projects in Caucasus.
