On 23 October 2017, Turkish Policy Quarterly (TPQ) hosted a roundtable panel titled “Navigating the Cyber Storm: Implications for Governments and Businesses”. The rising cyber threats, the cyber policies to confront such threats and the collaboration between the government and private sector actors were assessed through references from the experiences of NATO, Estonia, Israel and Turkey. Following the panel, Ambassador Matthew Bryza, the BOD Member of TURCAS and former US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, discussed Turkey’s current approach on energy oriented cyber security risks for Medyascope.
Siim Alatalu, the international relations advisor at NATO’s Cooperative Cyber Security Centre of Excellence, also joined the discussion on Medyascope, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation in confronting cyber threats.
