This Week in Turkey’s guest was Max Hoffman. Max Hoffman is the associate director of National Security and International Policy at the Center for American Progress, focusing on Turkey and the Kurdish regions. Along with his colleagues Andrew O’Donohue and Alan Makovsky, he prepared a report on Turkey’s changing media landscape. Mr. Hoffman evaluated the most striking findings of this report. Mr. Hoffman also spoke about President Erdoğan’s recent statements regarding the control of social media and how voters will react to such measures. The future of press freedom in Turkey was also discussed.
